\u201cEmpowering people with solar PV\u201d is a global campaign aimed at engaging people worldwide to learn how they can make a difference in the race to net-zero supporting solar PV\u2019s capacity targets and at the same time becoming more energy independent.<\/p>

Solar power is key to decarbonizing the global economy and our cities while bringing a vast range of benefits to people, communities, and the planet.<\/p>

The main focus of the campaign is the uptake of distributed solar PV in the buildings sector, thus mainly rooftop systems in private, public, commercial and industrial buildings.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

The Asian Photovoltaic Industry Association (APVIA) is the largest organization representing the photovoltaic industry in Asia. It aims to make the world a sustainable home for all through the use of solar energy by engaging in information and academic exchange, technical consultation, project demonstration, quality standards, market service, education and training.<\/p>

It was founded on 16 January 2009 as a nonprofit organization consisting of over 300 private sector enterprises, industry associations, research institutes, scientific organizations and other entities from 20 countries in Asia and other regions.<\/p>

APVIA was formally launched on 31 October 2011 in Singapore. It was granted approval by the Corporate Regulatory Authority of Singapore and operates under the principle of voluntary enrolment.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

The Global Solar Council (GSC) is the voice of the world\u2019s solar energy industry, a non-profit body representing national, regional and international associations as well as leading solar sector corporations.<\/p>
